Darcy stood outside of the school, leaning against the exterior. She had to wait a while until her mom finally came to pick her up. Claire, her little sister, had an orthodontist appointment today and swas going to be late. Most people had already gone home and as far as Darcy could tell it was just her and a creepy looking janitor. She pulled out her phone and flipped it open to check the time. She still had awhile to wait until her mother would come to pick her up and until then, she had no clue what to do with herself. The janitor was giving her evil looks since he wasn't supposed to let students stay around the premises after hours. Fortunately, Darcy had always managed to stay on his good side so he wasn't kicking her out completely. She tapped her foot impatiently and continued to wait.

This was just great. Anyone who saw her would think that she had nothing better to do than stand outside of school for an hour. She sighed and stopped tapping her foot since the janitor was looking agitated. This was going to be a long wait.
