Jade walked into the class, knowing full well that she'd be late. She saw the guy sitting at the teacher's desk and assumed that was Mr. Simpson. She walked over and spoke in her voice, tinged with a Spanish accent, "Hola, Mr. Simpson. I'm Jade Locklier. I'm new."

She handed him her papers and was sent to sit down among the loud students. She flipped on her computer and waiting for class to begin.

So far, she was just thinking she was going to go home and call it a day and be done with it. She was sure the Simpsons wouldn't care much if she just hung out at their house for the remainder of the day. In fact, she could just walk up to Mr. Simpson and ask him if he could take her back to their place on his free period.

Manny logged onto her computer and listened as Mr. Simpson announced they were to create their own website on any issue they wanted to choose. However, it was a project assigned for a group of two, and Manny didn't know many in this class. If she did know anyone, she definitely didn't want to work with them. But then, she saw her opening in a new girl with streaks of red in her hair. She looked like the rebellious type, but hopefully she'd actually do some of the work instead of making Manny do it all herself. "Hey, I'm Manny. Is this your first day here at Degrassi?"
